Artist Submissions – Amelia Mangham

This is my artwork about my experience of people commenting on my autism and how the impact of commenting is often overlooked and quickly forgotten by the speaker but held onto by the other. This is a redraw of an artwork originally a part of a series focusing upon how people speak about people based on features such as birth marks disfigurement acne etc compared to how they treat hidden disability’s such as autism. This drawing is a self portrait so it is all a lit my own experience.
